Hi everyone, I am in need of some good workout music for my iPod I feel I have exhausted the list.
What are some of your favorite songs to workout to. Whether they are old or new, let me know!
Here are mine:
I like anything AC/DC and Powerman 5000 -when worlds collide is for a little extra boost.
50 Cent and Black Eyed Peas a
ll the way!
OOOHH! Yes I love the Black Eyed Peas!
Does anyone listen to anything other than upbeat tempos when working out? I am curious by nature!
Yes, I do. Lots of Oingo Boingo, Devo, The Cult, The Cure, etc....!!!!
I dig on Jay-Z, Timbaland, Eminem...maybe with a little old school grunge thrown in for good measure!!
Brian
I tried to listen to a little more mellow music and it totally did not pump me up. I read somewhere that the beat in up-beat music actually tricks your body in to fight or flight mode. Your body perceives the drum beats as a threat and reacts with an adrenaline rush... Whether that is valid or not, I don't know but it works either way!
I have a number of playlists depending on if I'm lifting or running.
A great 10 mile run playlist:

Good workout has to be upbeat and moving I am a Rock and Roll Guy,
But below is little cheese factor when it comes to working out..
Eye of the Tiger...Rocky (okay I am almost 36)
Fight the Good Fight....Creed
Sound of Madness....ShineDown
RearView Mirror....Pearl Jam
The Day that Never Comes....Metallica
American Badass....Kid Rock (hey ex military what do you expect)
Better....Guns and Roses
Send the Pain Below...Chevelle
Pork and Beans....Weezer (thats what I want to eat after working out but I dont LOL)
Hot for Teacher....Van Halen (dont ask!!!! Female Trainer LOL)
Get the Idea what ever motivates ya works....
This is the lineup that gets me thru cardio workouts:
Supermassive Black Hole - Muse
Disease - Matchbox Twenty
Don't Stop Believin' - Glee Vol 1
Barracuda - Heart
Footloose - Kenny Loggins
Work That - Mary J. Blige
The Little Things - Danny Elfman
Self Inflicted - Katy Perry
And while I lift it's all Aerosmith and Queen
You don't know- Eminem
Presidential-wezzy
Go Getta-R kelly and jezzy
These are my top three for any work out the new jay-z is good stuff also metallica is frequent in my playlist. It helps me to listen to longer songs during cardio/runs.
Let's Get Down - Toni Toni Toni
Gotta have good tunes to work out. Otherwise, I focus on how much I don't want to be doing what I'm doing.
My taste is very eclectic.
Latest download is Katy Perry "Waking Up in Vegas" and "I Kissed a Girl"
The same day, I downloaded The Brian Setzer Orchestra "Dirty Boogie" album.
Wow!! What a butt mover!!
Keep 'em coming people, I am going to have a download party and iTunes will take all my money but it's for the better for my workout.
Thanks for the awesome recommendations, I would love lots more!!!!
