SO I am getting married in 1 week! I have not lost one pound, but my body has completely changed. I started lifting more aggressively about 2 months ago and I have seen some ridiculous results! I am getting married in Las Vegas, so not only am I preping for the wedding, but the vacation/ honeymoon (we call it the vaca-neymoon). I've been pretty good for the past month, but all the parties are coming up and it's getting harder to be good. I wanted to see if there are any more brides-to-be out there with some tips to keep from being bloated on the big day or some neat tricks to look a little slimmer. Any suggestions?
Hi Emily! Congrats on your engagement first of all.
What an exciting time for you!
I am not a bride-to-be but I have had to do sort of the same thing in the past when I was attending a big event. To keep from being bloated on the day of you can do the following:
I hope this helps, again congrats and mostly HAVE FUN!
I think this will be great! Thank you! I just heard about gum causing some people to bloat due to the fake sugar. I will let you know how it goes.
Last time I went to Vegas I lost 3 pounds. So I am hoping I won't gain any this time. I am getting my sister and cousins to do a "Stripper 101" class. It's just a dance-class with a former stripper as the instructor. It was really fun last time I did it, so at least I can get some of us active before the big day. If anything it will make me laugh a lot!
Man, I wish I had saw this post about 3 weeks ago. I would have had the perfect solution for you. It's called the Body Magic. It's a medical grade garment, that reshapes and slims your body, no bulges, no rolls, no gimmicks. I wear it everyday and I wore mine when I got married too. Anyone have a wedding coming up? I just love them!
If you stick to lean meats like fish and chicken or turkey breast and only eating complex carbs like potatoes, yams and even bananas, and stray away from sweet fruits like watermelon you should be fine and drink about 100 ounces of water a day.
Also try and stay away from salt, oils butters and breads other than the cake they get you and on your wedding day eat what you want, you've got him now lol. Hope this helps
congrats on your big event i pray it went well. I would totally agree with what they said..
I have a wedding coming up! Next April actually, can't wait. I'm back to my regular workout routine and hope I can shed a few pounds before hand!
2 More weeks until my wedding. And I'm sick. Can you work out with a cold?
I plan on taking some water weight pills everyday to burn belly fat for that last push.
Did you recently get married or engaged!? First, congrats. Second, it's time to earn some money for your wedding!

Before my wedding day I started drinking slimfast for two meals a day while working out for an hour.... not the most healthy way to lose extra weight but it sure did work. Stayed off for quite a while as well
I'm getting married in 6 months...I need to lose 50 lbs....HELP!
I am getting married next January. I have been on a weight loss journey even before I got engaged. I have lost 40 lbs so far and am trying to lose 15-20 more.
My fiance and I are both losing weight together. It is so much easier when you have someone encouraging you to eat well and work out! All we have been doing is counting calories and working out. We still eat pretty much anything, we are just being very smart about it. Some foods aren't worth the calories whereas other foods are.
So far it has been working for us. We enjoy working out together and cooking healthy, low calorie meals! It has definitely been a bonding experience and I couldn't do it without him!
I'm getting married in 4 months and want to lose about 10 pounds. Sounds easy enough, right? Haha, I hope so!! I joined AF two days ago. My first gym experience ever. So I am definitley new to the gym scene. Any tips for a beginner would help!! Thanks
