I saw this on Dr. Oz a while ago. Anyone have any tips?
Thanks!
Mark.
Someone once told me that eating cottage cheese before you went to bed would help you burn calories while you sleep because your body has to break it down or something like that...I'll have to check the validity of that statement.
Eh. I'm always reluctant to believe in "fat burning foods" because whenever people mention them they just say it helps burn fat without any evidence.
But for now, supposedly (and I can't stress that word enough) foods that are very high in fiber burn more calories than regular foods because they're harder to digest. I've even heard radical claims like Fiber One cereal is a negative calorie food because it takes more calories to digest than you get. Now take that with a grain of salt as there I have yet to see any proof of such claims. You're still better off making the healthy choices in your diet.
Foods that are said to speed up the metabolism are peppers, eggs, green tea, skim milk, beans and oatmeal to name a few.
