Friday's weigh in for me....

Started 200lbs
Feb 10 - 195
Applause

Achievements: Gone to the gym 3days/week for 40 mins each time, 2 weeks in a row. Also learned some strengthening exercises to incorporate into my workout

Focus on: Having a small meal or food at least an hour before a workout. Lunch at noon and working out at 430 is not providing me with the fuel to keep me going. I almost threw up and passed out yesterday from the lack of food

Water: I need more water. I drink 2 small bottles/day minimum, and usually a tea. Shrink the tea habit and intake more plain water

Congrats Carrie!! You def need to fuel your body before a workout. I read good carbs before a workout and protein after is the best thing. Carbs give you energy to get through the workout and are processed quicker and the protein helps repair after the workout. Not sure of the truth in this but worth a shot. You don't have to give up tea, just make it caffeine free b/c caffeine tends to dehydrate you even more. Take a large bottle of water with you to the gym. I drink at least an entire bottle while working out. It's great you realize what you need to work on. Keep up the good work!!! Applause

Congrats on the loss 40nthin and Steve! I haven't weighed in today yet...didn't make it to the gym. Hopefully will tomorrow morning. I've only missed 3 days since joining a month ago, but started getting sick yesterday and not feeling too well today. I did weigh a few days ago and had lost 2 lbs though!Happy
My personal goal is 5 lbs a month for the next 6 mos...I pray we will all be able to meet our goals and loose all this excess weight we have added on. It's so easy to gain, but so hard to loose!
We CAN do it though! Just takes a little motivation, and alot of determination! Just set your mind to do it, and you will! We will!
Hope all of you have a great weekend! TGIF!!

Congrats to you too Carrie! Applause You go girl! Great job this week...you can do it!
Hope everyone is hanging in there and doing well! I too drink a whole bottle of water while working out. Also drink water all day at work, much better for you than tea. Try some of the little pkgs of flavor to add in your water to see if that will help you be able to drink more!Happy

@40nthin...hope your tooth is better now! Wink

julianava...some weeks are like that. You'll have some you'll loose, some the same and hopefully mostly less, but there are weeks you don't show any progress and get disappointed, but hang in there, it'll start dropping!Happy

Still sitting at 131.6 this week! I did weigh in the morning last week though, and it is around 3 that I'm weighing myself now. Hopefully next week is better news but at least there was no gain (:

Way to go everyone!!! Even if you don't see any results on the scale today, be proud of yourself that you have got yourself to the gym, and started making the steps towards your goals! Thats an achievement! Applause
A question for you water drinkers that drink an entire bottle of water while working out.... Don't you ever get cramps from that?? I have a bottle with me at all times, but can only take in a tiny little bit every so often when my throat gets dry, or I get these cramps that get irritating.

So, decided to take my measurements this evening. Even though my weight is unchanged I have lost a 1/2 inch off my waist and upper arms. Grin Hips and thigh unchanged... maybe next week.

Congrats everyone whether it be not gaining, losing inches or pounds!!!

I always drink almost an entire bottle while working out and never get cramps. Cramps are typically a sign of dehydration...maybe try drinking some before you go and after you are done.

Julianava.....mine started a few weeks ago like that, loosing inches but no weight. Now I'm starting to see a difference in both weight and measurements!
Carrie, I get cramps occasionally but assume its from exhaustion! Lol....I walk a lot at work, pretty fast at times, then go straight to gym everyday and most days I do 15-20 min exercises with weights, etc...then 35 elliptical, 30 treadmill, then some with weights again. Depends on how I feel, some days I'll skip 1 or 2 of these! Whew
I agree with 40nthin, seems dehydration causes them more so than too much water. Could be wrong though.

I weighed myself this morning but didnt get the chance to get on today to post it! I am down to 100 pounds! This next week I really hope to actually gain weight! I plan to start doing alot more lifting! I dont think I have any more fat to lose so it would for sure be a good idea to start building some muscle! It would be nice to gain 5-10 pounds but of complete muscle instead of fat!Happy

Jennifer it sounds like you are at a point where you need to talk to a trainer about how to build muscle w/o losing any more weight. I've never had that problem so I don't even know what to tell you, I would guess less cardio and more weight lifting and protein.

Laugingboy, first I love your screen name. Laughing Congrats!!! What a loss!!! I struggle to lose one or two pounds and would love to see results like yours! Any loss is good though and this is a lifestyle change for me so I will take any loss right now b/c I don't ever want to be where I am again! Sounds like you will hit this -15 in no time and will have to start a new challenge. Maybe for the ones of us who have more than 15 to lose we can have a continuing challenge "second 15" so we can continue to encourage each other on our journey.

@ jordansdesigns Thanks! I am feeling better, but not back to 100% quite yet. They said I would still be sore a few days, still have to go back for a permanent filling and then a cap later on. At this point I really never want to see a dentist again! LOL Hoping to get back to the gym today or tomorrow. So funny I even dreamed about it last night. It was more like a nightmare....I went back to the gym to find that they had changed it and made it into a much bigger and cheaper feeling gym with lots of junky equipment almost an arcade/casino type feel to it, had a restaurant in the back with junk food. I remember going to the owner and being upset about it. LOL So funny!!

Have a great week everyone!!!
