@Steve, congratulations on getting custody of your grandson. I'm also diabetic and I'm hoping all this hard work will eventually get me off the insulin at the least, if not off the meds also!! Good luck on your journey.
I'd like to join as well! I am new to AF and I have alot to lose. I quit smoking 4 years ago and weighed 106 at that time. I am now 206!!!!! I gained another me! I have been this size/weight for a few years now and I'm tired of being tired all the time. I know by being active I'll lose weight. I quit drinking sodas but can't quit eating sweets! I hate the temptations! I want to lose 50lbs. By June 16th. My daughters graduation. Family will be flying in for the big event and to be honest, not many have ever seen me this big! When on Facebook, I'll only post head shots (sometimes I want to show an eyeball only, but even then I think the area around my eye is puffy! Hahaha! I have been doing 30-40 minutes on the treadmill every night plus leg weights and a few arm weights. You think losing 50 lbs. By June 16th. Is reasonable?
@40nthn I've been working on that. If you go to http://www.sparkrecipes.com you can create a nutrition label for your recipes. If you "sign up" you can store your recipes for free.
Thanks!! I found that site yesterday and hope my tracking will be accurate now. Makes me feel better if I know I'm in my calorie range even if the scales NEVER show me!! I think when we all hit our goal we should have a big burn the scales night to celebrate!!! LOL
Just back from my 60 minutes on the treadmill and I'm down 1 1/2 pounds from yesterday. I think the tracking and posting here are helping. Good luck to everyone.

I haven't been feeling well for the past few days so I haven't made it to the gym. I'm hoping to make it tonight but that could be questionable still. The good news is that the scale says I'm down a pound and a half. The weight loss isn't because I haven't been feeling good but I know it's a start.
Please don't go until you feel better.Sometimes that extra days wait is worth it. The weight loss is a start but guard your health.
Found out what I thought was my sinuses wasn't. I have to have a root canal tomorrow.
Thursday weigh in 199.5. My goal is to stay in onederland.
Was so sick this afternoon after my root canal.Finally ate something and starting to feel better. Can't wait to be on the mend and back in the gym. Not looking forward to a weigh in tomorrow after not going to the gym all week. Is what it is I guess. Good luck to everyone at weigh in tomorrow!!

Thought for sure I would gain this week not being able to go to the gym with my whole tooth ordeal. Hopefully I don't gain it back in muscle next week. Just glad to be back out of the 190's again!!!
