Well, when you put it like that.... lol... I just didn't go as hard as I wanted to this week because I've been under the weather. But you are right, it is definitely an achievement, even if I wanted it to be a little more.

Hello Minus Fifteeners,

Hello Minus Fifteeners! It's my turn. This week I've been continuing to work on my short fitness goals and I've passed my 3 minute plank goal - so my record is no 3:15! Surprise
Also accomplished additional short fitness goals this week 70 sit ups in one go. Also, this week I crushed my mile time; besting my 12:31 mile by doing it in 11:05. Cool

Today the scale says 221 again. Which means that I haven't lost anything, nor have I gained! Happy It gets tougher to lose like Jamie says that's why I set a bunch of fitness goals so I can see and feel accomplishments and not get discouraged.

Good luck everybody; you can do this!

Hi all! I'm back from family reunion traveling to San Francisco for a week. Before that I wasn't get to the gym regularly, but was doing some extra house n garden projects before leaving town. I didn't make as many good food choices while I was gone. My legs were hurting from so much riding in the back of a minivan...aaagh! So today my feet felt pretty good after dropping some water that I had retained, so I went to the gym to work out. I had gained 1.5 lbs, putting me at 14 lbs lost since I joined AF. I was happy that it wasn't worse and that I got back in there.
On another note...My 21 yr old son is very heavy and has decided to juice fast to get himself healthier. He is not a fruit and vegie eater, so this is a drastic step for him. I support him making a big change, adding a lot of exercise and all juice. I have looked at his recipes and it's about 1500 to 2000 calories a day, so I am not concerned that he will get enough calories. He is heavier than me by a lot and quite sedentary. Today was his second day with the fast and he's feeling pretty good. He's away at school, so he is keeping in touch to tell us how it's going. He's had two big walks and thinks he can stick with it. Do you all have any experience with juice fasting that I can pass on to him? He is videotaping each day to keep a log of his progress. His main emphasis is to get healthier. He has been dealing with an infection in his system that has cropped up twice. I think this massive amount of healthy food will boost his immune system and help him keep the infection away. Any input would be appreciated.

On a related note: I have decided to make at least half my plate vegies, have mostly vegies and lean protein for two meals a day. This is my way to support my son's decision. I may add one juice or smoothie a day. We'll see how this goes.

Welcome back Patty! You'll regain the ground you've lost in no time! I can't tell you anything about juicing except it's not something that I could do.
