Would you like to start a -15 (lb.) challenge? Over the next 3 months, we write about our workouts/challenges/thoughts, and log our weight every Friday. This will keep us on track and provide support.
We can even let people know when we plan to workout if we want a workout partners!
**If you want to start please respond with your reason:
Mine: I'm getting married this summer. So I want to drop 15 pounds now, that way I can learn how to maintain that weight(body image) even after I'm married [and look good in a swimsuit on my Honeymoon
].
hi. My sister and I would like to join this journey...sounds like a reasonable amount of weight to lose. let me know what i need to do.
My reason: I am dealing with some hormonal issues (an extra 20lbs to be exact) would love to release that weight. My sister is on a mission to release weight as well as she has been approved for gastric bypass but I am pushing her to lose it the healthy way....
I'm game and it would keep me accountable.
Reason
I've always been overweight and struggled with not gaining weight. I'm sick of not being able to do many of the things I want to do and watching how many of the things I like to do now are being impacted.
Count me in. Ive just re-joined Anytime Fitness after not going for a year and half.....had lost 60 before, now gained 20 back! My personal goal is 5 lbs a month for next 6 mos. So this should help me be more determined to meet my goal!
My reason.....I just don't feel good about the way I look, and have several health problems .......main one is heart.
Just let me know what we need to do to start this and keep going!
I would love to be apart of this challenge! My older sister is getting married this September and I am one of the bridesmaids!
I started my gym membership because of this! I have lost the weight I have wanted to (down to 100 pounds) and now just need to tone up! I also have a trip to Florida coming up at the end of March so I have a couple months to look my best before I see the beach for the first time!
Dress shopping for the wedding is in March as well!
This thread will really help me stay accountable!
Great idea Rachel!
I'm in!!! Reason: I need help staying accountable for what I do! I've always been one of the "bigger" girls. Trying to keep on track again and praying doing so will help better or even get rid of my diabetes!!!!
Awesome everyone!!!
Ok, so tomorrow post your weight (I know scary...but don't lie - that won't help you and we all have no room to judge!).
Need a workout partner?: I work out in the mornings about 4:30am...but I would definately come in after 8pm if anyone wants to work out at night instead! (I go for about an hour - I can stay later too).
Then you have a week before we repost our weight (every friday). Remember your diet has just as much to do with weight loss as your exercise (so no more junk food, and twice as much water!).
I'm so excited, I do so much better when I have support!
Rach
Thanks Rachel. I believe this is exactly what I need. My reasons is "to be alive" to see my son graduate from college, my daughter graduate from high school, to see them both get married in the future & to someday be a Grandma. Also my hubby & I are going on Alaskan cruise for our 25th Annivesary in 3 yrs.
I'm IN!! I am starting to get frustrated because I have been trying and working very hard for the past 5-6 weeks and have not lost an OUNCE and 15 pounds is exactly what I want/need to lose- I started the diet tracker this week and look forward to having a group to relate to! I want to do this because I want to look as good on the outside as I feel on the inside!
Count me in as well! I've been stuck at a plateau for - well, for a year now, so I guess this isn't really a plateau anymore, is it?
I still have about 90 pounds to go before my birthday in November - this sounds like a great jumping-off point....
I'm in! I need to lose around 40 to get to a healthy BMI. I already eat healthy, but don't seem to consume enough calories most days according to the tracker and my RMR. Not sure if this is why I can't seem to lose weight any more or if it's just my 40 year old metabolism slowing down. I used to be able to lose 5 lbs the first week I would decide to get the weight off, I've been working out since January to go along with my healthier eating habits and the scales have only shown me 3 pounds. I just joined AF last week in hopes to build up some muscle and get my metabolism going again. I definitely need the encouragement, I love lifting but HATE the cardio. I'm also a scale addict, meaning I want to weigh EVERY morning which can be discouraging due to fluctuations each day. I guess if I can't stop this I need to log it every day and compare it week to week. Let's do this!!!!
Count me in.My reason=Summer is coming, and I need to lose about 70 pounds.
I am in . I had my yearly physical & I need to be on the other end of 150-say 140's. Right now I am 162. Not good. I feel fine but I look fat. I was so embarressed when I put my measurements in. At 64 yrs of age (for the sake of my health & self confidence) I need to loose 15 lbs. I do find the diet & activity trackers very helpful.
Okay, I'll be the brave one to get this started.
It's Friday Feb. 3rd my weight this morning is 192.8 at 5'8" tall.
I'm on board too! I just joined again a week ago after a year and a bit, so this will be a fun challenge to get involved in. My story is like Jordans. I lost 40 before, gained almost 20 back, I need my health back. Good luck everyone!
my weight is 318...good luck to each of you.
