Hello, my name is Jeremy. I'm a 21 year old male, and I'd like to share my story with you. For most of my life I've been overweight, and actually in 2008 I dropped 50 lbs and was the healthiest I'd ever been. Well, I got lazy and all my weight came back, and then add on another 100 lbs and you have me where I was this time last year. I struggled mightily to be happy with myself and more often then not took it out on my family. In July of last year I was hired at GNC to be a sales associate, and I made a commitment to be a positive role model to myself and to others who wanted to lose weight. I started at 354.4 and was stunned at just how much I weighed. I thought it was gonna be the end right there but I stuck with it. I started taking a daily multivitamin and a product called Oxy Elite (a fat burner) I started noticing results right away, after my first week of diet and exercise I'd lost 12 lbs! Through everything I took my multivitamin and Oxy faithfully and today I sit at my 7 almost 8 month of my weight loss and I've lost 102 lbs! Thanks to my awesome trainers and Anytime Fitness itself I can now be an advicate to help anyone interested in losing weight and making a life style change. I joined anytime health to help with wight loss questions and to be a positive example to everyone (well atleast try to be :-P ) I know a lot of people dont like listening to us youngsters with our saggy pants and what not, but I'm just a simple family man, I'm married and have a wonderful 6 year old step daughter who I love more then anything. If anyone has any questions please give me a shout, I'm more then happy to help anyone with just about anything!

Today I made my 10th day of working out. Next month I plan to be there even more. I NEVER dreamt of EVER being this weight it is depressing. I am ready for a healthier me. Thanks again for posting your willingness to help others. It is a wonderful reminder that "I am not alone." Good day to you.

Great job on the weight loss! My question is, Do you feel the "fat burner" actually helped? I also just started with AF, and just logged my 10th visit today. I only have around 30 lbs to lose, but was wondering on the fat burners you buy at nutrition stores. I have also lost 11 lbs in the past 12 days. I am not really interested in things like hydroxy cut or similar items.

I don't like hydroxycut, WAYYY too many pills. OxyElite is an energy booster and a thermogenic, that helps burn fat in your midsection. 1 pill a day instead of 4-6! Yes I do believe it helped, my midsection is much slimmer and my energy level is 10 times what it was

That is so awesome. Congrats on the weight loss!!Applause Thanks for the tips. Is oxy elite purchasable through health stores or is it only available online? Also, do you have any advice on appetite suppressants??. I love working out, but the cravings are whats getting the best of me Worried

Bobbi, thank you so much for your words of encouragement, they mean a lot to me! OxyElite is purchasable online, as well as at your local GNC! I should know because I work at GNCHappy as far as appetite suppressants go, just about anything GNC has that says it helps control appetite will work. I like the Lean Shakes and the CLA but everyone is different. Most of the appetite hunger is in your head, well atleast thats what it is for me. If I sit around too long I start to get bored, and the first instinct in my mind was to eat something. I used to go through a big sized bag of potato chips in 1 sitting, followed up by some chicken nuggets, cheese sticks, and if I was still "hungry" I'd drive to walmart to get either cheese curds or popcorn chicken..as you can see I didn't have the healthiest food choices :-P but supplements can work to control that and once thats under control you could possibly stop using supplements and master your mind! the mind is a beautiful thing, but it can also destroy our bodies!

I really like the analogies used in Working Out Sucks.

Your brain is where EVERYTHING is stored, kinda like the hard drive of your computer. The mind is what controls what information is accessed when-- kinda like your software.

Your computer uses the software systems to access information as needed, to isolate/ quaranteen "bad" files, and to make your work more efficient.

So, it isn't so much as fixing your brain-- it's upgrading your software to YOU 2.0. Less bugs, better fixes, smooth operation.Happy

FantasticHappy . I did the Body by Visalus shakes, and didnt really feel like they helped with the appetite suppressing at all. Have you ever tried HCG drops? I know a lot of it is psychological, and hopefully I can start talking my mind into not wanting the bad stuff it likes to crave. Im in nursing school fulltime and work fulltime after that, so its hard to fit in several healthy meals and an adequate amount of working out so I'm definitely in need of some good supplements! Thanks for the advice Happy

GNC does sell the HCG drops, however I don't recommend them because you have to go on a drastically low calorie diet, (500 to be exact) sounds unhealthy and although they work, I just don't like the thought of only consuming 500 calories

Yeah 500 calories seems drastically LOW! Especially if you are working out and burning that 500 calories +. Good to know. Thanks! Grin
