When I work out, I do chest and tri's in one day (pressing movements). The next time I go I'll do back and bi's (pulling movements). I'm not a professional but I lost 40 pounds of body fat so far with mixing cardio in my workouts too. When you do pressing movements such as the bench press, your also working your triceps too. Same goes with back workouts, You'll be working your biceps too. I recommend do all your chest exercises first before doing triceps. Same goes with backs and biceps. When I do shoulders, I do calf muscles as well because I find that I usually still have enough energy in me to do it. Try it out and see what exercises work for you with each muscle group. Good luck!

Why not do a full body routine twice per week to avoid overtraining the shoulders? Just a thought.

Ya if your a beginner you should do full body 2-3 times a week. Low weight, higher rep so your body gets used to it. If your not then you can do a upper body lower body split or a push pull legs split.
