Miss Dawn - I am trying very to hard to look at this from an outside perspective and to learn from it... I will eventually figure out the lesson I was supposed to learn from it. I think part of may be simply that I need to stop giving a darn about what people think. Let small minded people be small minded people. Try to help those people willing to learn, show those who won't - why it is important, and to be tolerant of everyone - fat, skinny, motivated, lazy, smart, not so smart.... you get the picture.

And - hmmmm 6 hours isn't too bad for a road trip.

Went over to Lisa's today . . . she did us some cooking. Happy (She is sooooo good to me!)

She made some pancake thingy's so we can have like a sausage/egg mcgriddle thingy for breakfasts this next week.

Then she made us some mexican spinach lasagna. Very good! Now I'm all stocked for this next week. All I have to do is not forget my food for work and be diligent in not stopping after work for something I shouldn't have.

first time back to cardio in quite a while. Had my ankle brace on and did a steady 15 minutes and boy did I want to stop at 8 minutes but I pushed through!

Afterward had my trainer session. Again, if it wasn't for him, I would have quit. I was really tired, hot, and hungry. But I got it accomplished.

On to the next day . . .

I have been with the gym since july 2 this year and i am haveing trouble. at start i weighed 244 and have exercised 4 to 5 days a wk for about 30 mins doing elipitical at cardo level. and a couple times I have gotten some good workouts in like an hour and a half and and hour and 45 mins. but I am still gaining weight not lossing. I now weigh like 248. Any in put??????

Welcome to the family!! What you are experiencing is not uncommon. One suggestion is, if you aren't already, start tracking your food. Sometimes all it takes is a minor adjustment in your nutrition. Another thing too is if you haven't exercised on a regular basis, there could be a change in body fat percentage versus muscle. Muscle is denser than fat. As hard as it is, try stepping away from the scale for a while. Judge your progress on how your clothes fit and how you feel. The pounds will start coming off. Have faith. It sounds like you are off to a great start already. Don't sabotage yourself with the scale. Please keep coming back here and keep us informed. Susan

I will and thank you for talking with me. I have gone to a low fat diet and This thing just keeps adding more for me to eat. I am tracking everything i eat. and it just keeps adding more and telling me I am burning like 600 more calories and extends my calorie intake level
I eat three meals a day and two snaks now

Try watching your carbs closely..especially sugar and bread.. also watching potatoes and other starchy veggies help..Happy .. best of luck to you RachelHappy

Be sure to actually eat all of the calories the tracker says you should. If you consistently eat too few calories - your body will think it is starving & you will not lose weight because your body will fight it.

It seems counter intuitive - but you really need to make sure that you eat enough!

Also - make sure you are drinking tons of water - it will help to keep you feeling full & will flush out toxins, etc in your body.

Thanks to everyone. And to my surprise I went for weigh in yesturday and found my scales are off or something is wrong with them. Because at weigh in i was 1.2 pounds down from the 23 rds weigh in. I am stickin with it and not giving up. Albert Einstien once said something on the lines of = grab hold to you goal and not poeple or things of this world. I thank he know what he was talking about. Any way Thanks so very much Everyone for the encouragement. Pray is so awesome. And God is so Good all the time and all the time God is Good. Thanks for all your prayers.

I learned I also have to keep my fat % low like 20 to 30 grams but i do have to have them. And I am eating alot for me and also drinking like 110 ounces of water a day. Exercising for 40 min.s a day burning like 400 calories. and like i said before i get a good hour and a half work out in about once a wk. so i feel i am doing pretty good cause in 10 mins i get to cardio level and 12 mins i am two steps above that and hold it there for the rest of my time. So like i said i thank i am doing pretty good. Feeling Great Applause
