Hi Karawill-

No fear- you have come to the right place for all the support, education, and tips that you need to reach your health and fitness goals! You will find that you are not alone on this journey! I encourage you to ask a lot of questions and really take in all that this website has to offer new people like yourself. This website is chock full of so many good tools and programs that it can be overwhelming so try to take in a little section at a time. One day learn how to use the "diet tracker." You can actually view a short video to learn how it works. Another day learn how to use the "activity tracker" and you can watch a video about that too. Also, be sure to input all of your goals and starting statistics so the website can track your progress.

Are you able to meet with a certified personal trainer at your home club? This may be a good starting point for you even if it is only for a few sessions. He/she will be able to answer your questions and get your started on a safe, effective workout regimen that will get you moving in the right direction and help hold you accountable.

Welcome Kara! I too am unhealthy. This website has done wonders for me. I started by tracking everything I ate every day for a week. It made it easier for me to set goals. I then focused on just getting into the gym for 30 minutes, 2-3 days a week. Just to get used to it. Then I slowly increased my time at the gym. The hardest part for me was the food. I have currently lost 25 lbs, I have another 45 to go. Good luck to you, and don't give up! It is so worth it in the end.

You came to the right place!!!! Just always keep in mind that the weight did not come on overnight so it will not come off over night. As suggested keep track of your calories and seek help from a trainer.

You can and will do it!!!! Im excited to see your progress. I have lost over 45lbs to date and aiming for 20 more. It is not an easy task but it is rewarding Wink

You can do this Kara! Just remember that foods are either our friends or our enemy. Eat to live, not live to eat.

It takes 2 weeks before you begin to notice results yourself and 4 weeks before others do. Dont give up before you start hearing "Have you lost weight?" or "you look great." its an amazing feeling. Once you hit 15lbs its like youre a whole new person. keep.it.up.

Maybe you could give us a weekly update? Dont wait the whole 6 weeks so you can stay motivated. When you dont want to work out, break it down and just get yourself in the car. I tell myself i can leave when i get there if i really dont want to go in. I never do tho. Just get off the couch, step one.Grin good luck
