It came quickly and is now right around the corner. Always wanted to be in great shape at 40 but now at this age I'm realizing I always have to maintain excellent health because poor health and injuries are just a couple lazy days away. The good news for me is that I need to gain a few pounds to be the kind of healthy I want to achieve. Here's to putting on the lbs.

If you need help trying to get to your weight goals (in your case gaining weight) you can use the diet tracker tool on here to help you take in the right amount of calories per day/week so you gain weight the healthy, appropriate way. Be sure the foods that you are eating are nutrient friendly- lots of vitamins and minerals, fiber, protein, etc. Not junk food for weight gain. Good luck!
congrats on the decision to get healthy! I made my decision on year 49 to be in the best shape ever by the big 50. Gaining wgt wasn't my issue... I've achieved my goals then some. It sounds like you have made a promise to yourself and that's the important part because you are more likely to hold yourself accountable. Way to go - all the best.
