Me and mine are planning on running in the PA Tough Mudder this May. We are all combat veterans and this benefits the Wounded Warrior Project. It is a twelve Mile overland run with some nasty almost evil obstacles(18-22) through out the course. This is one of the first times we are all gonna be stateside for this and cannot wait to take our shot at it. Training officially begins Friday and I can't wait. For those of you that do not know, this is not a competition. It's not about your time, it's about finishing the race and getting everyone across that line. Mudders will routinely stop in the middle of a great time pace to help out those that are falling by the way side. They will run along with those that need the encouragement, adopt individuals into their teams. The course was designed by the British SAS and Royal Marines Commando(some right out of there training). I invite anyone that wants to take this on to join us. We begin together, we end together and LEAVE NO MUDDER BEHIND.

will track my training progress here, this is gonna be fun (yes I know I am crazy but thank you for noticing)

Doc,
I did the TM in Virginia this past October and it was awesome!! It's amazing how people you don't know will motivate you or help you. By far the best event out there!! The one piece of advice is to do a good carb/sodium load the day before because many Mudders had problems with cramping. If you have any Q's about the TM, let me know. Good luck future Tough Mudder!!

I'm planning on attending the first TM in Missouri- Sept 2012. I'm super excited. I was discharged from the USMC a few years back because of some medical issues and I can't wait to get back into shape and dominate this course...or break multiple bones! hahaha! Good luck and either way it's for a great cause! Happy

I am thinking of doing the one in the Minneapolis area, I think also in May. What are you doing in your AT workouts to prepare? The work out from the TM site is helpful.
