I am looking into buying a HRM. I have read pros and cons of some out there. I don't want to spend a great deal of money, but I want to get one that is pretty accurate for calories burned. Any suggestions?

I bought a polar monitor on Amazon for 60.00. I have had it for 4 months or so and I love it!

Hi Allison-

I have a Polar brand and have had it for years now. I love it. It has a good reputation and is almost always compatible with the cardiovascular equipment at your gym depending on what brand your local club has. My clubs have Life Fitness equipment and Polar is compatible with this brand which is nice because I don't have to necessarily wear my heart rate monitor watch while exercising since my heart rate pops up on the cardio machine display automatically.

Suggestion: Check out the Anytime Health "Store" right here on the top of this page. Click on "store." Then click on "fitness electronics." Then click on "heart rate monitors." There are 2 pages worth of heart rate monitors to choose from varying in price and features. Polar brand is on the 2nd page. Check them out.

I agree with Jennifer. I like the Polar brand. There are also some other great brands listed in the anytime health store.

I also like the Polar HRMs, but you will find your best deals on Amazon, if you want to save significant money.
