You should use the same scales each time as any error in them 'usually' carries over from weigh in to weight in. The number on the scales isn't as important as the CHANGE in that number. Be sure to weigh yourself at the same time everyday and under the same conditions i.e. in the morning as soon as you wake up, before you eat breakfast. This is actually the ideal time more so for reproducability. There aren't factors such as hydration, stomach or bowel contents differences at this time of day (usually).

oh cool, im 5'2 too .. lol I get that i kinda fulcuate between 157-160 now... so it depends on the week . I notice if i weigh in everyday it changes sooo dramatically so i weigh in once a week.... cause if you check every day it might de-motivate you an then you will feel bad just because the scale says a certain number

Yes they can. At the same time you have to consider when did you last eat, drink, and go to the bathroom. You can vary a few lbs in the same day.

The same set of scales at the gym says that i gain between 3 and5 pounds during every work out. So i would not recommend weighing but once a week on the same set of scales at about the same time of day.

They do so I just use the same scale each time and hope it's fairly accurate.

I agree with James, when I want to weigh, I weigh in the mornings right when I wake up, and its consistantly accurate. If you need ANY help at all dont be ashamed to ask anyone on here or at your gym, I'd be more then happy to help you out with weight loss!
