did you know the gruve site is back up and running?

This is a brief message from the CEO of Gruve Technologies...

Thankfully, we got the site running again, and we're sorry for the inconvenience. There are a couple of things you should keep in mind when you try to sync your device.

• The first sync might be odd or just very long. There is a lot of data on devices.

• Some people have scrambled their time stamps by unplugging during sync. If this occurs, please re-sync it a couple of times, this will reset the clock internally and should unscramble things.

• Don't be surprised if it takes a while to sync, a lot of people are doing it this AM, in a more intensive fashion- ie at the same time- than usual. Hopefully this will not overload servers. It should not, as we fixed the primary issue.

• Data is secured and non-corrupted.

Thank you,

Bob Gauthier

I cannot believe that Bob Gauthier is actually the CEO of this company. That explains the problems with performance of this company. His ridiculously rude responses to emails are the only thing worse than his company's pitiful product support.

I tried to sync my Gruve tonight after reading the above statement from Bob Gauthier and it DID NOT sync. It is just charging with the green blinking light. Has anyone else had this problem? Unplugged it and tried again but with the same result.

Ms: is your gruve sync application running? Mine crashed during the server outage, and I had to start it again from the Start menu.

What I find rather disappointing is that we get this message after the server is back up again, and you have to go and search for it. This is not the kind of service I would expect for this much money...

As for mismanagement - if you check out http://www.minnpost.com/medcitynews/2011/02/03/25473/frommuvetogruvestrugglesoftheobesitymedical-device_business - you will find that the same person responsible for muve going bust is now running gruve... I just don't understand why the investors are not rebelling.

Yes, this morning my gruve will not sync. It just blinks green. I am getting discouraged with this situation.

Thanks MrPudington for the attached article. It explains a lot. I am glad I got my money back before they ran out. These are not the kind of problems that Honest businesses deal with. With the promise of this product ant the unlimited amount of exposure that they could get, a competent team would have investors beating down their door.

Glad Gruve is synching again. Too bad I'm missing 4 days of data now...

Well, I think everybody lost some data. But look at the bright side: they cannot take away your exercise.

Good point, can't let technology discourage from the progress we've madeHappy

Hope this helps some.... I had to unplug my Gruve from my Mac, restart the laptop, then plug in the Gruve while the app was displaying the "Searching for device" message to get the Gruve to sync again after the server outage. If you've got a Mac and still can't re-sync, try rebooting and see if that works.
