Don’t Sweat the Tech Stuff

No joke, but 21% of Americans in a recent Boston Consulting Group survey said they’d give up sex and another 7% would give up showers for internet connectivity. As if that’s not surprising enough, 43% said they’d give up exercise to be connected.

So I wasn’t particularly shocked when Details Magazine asked if I would weigh in for their September issue on why so many gym-goers are drowning in a web of app-generated statistics, wearing fitness tracking, and sharing devices on their sleeves while they exercise (and do other more intimate activities), and why we bought 21 million fitness devices last year.
