100 pounds and counting.
Misty-blog-header

Today was a very exciting day! I won $500.00 cash! $100 worth of Anytime Fitness training, a vase full of 100 red roses, my house that is decorated with 100 "100" posters, (that were carefully decorated by Renee, Madilynn & Daniel) 100 balloons, 100 lbs of sidewalk salt (representing the 100 pounds I had lost) and all kinds of personal email messages posted all over the house. Why? You ask? All as a celebration of losing 100 POUNDS!

Journal Entry 1

6/18/10 – WOW, Sara Jespersen left and we have NO food, our cupboards are empty! Going to the lake for the weekend - Sara said we would talk/shop for food after Monday’s workout! Renee and I had an apple for snack instead of ice cream!

It takes a village.
Operation Health_blogheader

Just over four months ago Sara Jesperson came to Misty and I asked how would we feel about a kitchen invasion? We had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. I was about to have major knee surgery and Misty was soon to have an operation herself. I ended up having half my half knee replacement surgery and Misty put off her surgery a bit. Here we are 12 weeks later and between the two of us we lost more weight then Misty's two children combined!

Operation Health: The results are in!
Sara_Operation_Health_blogheader

Don, Colleen, Misty, and Renee just completed the first 12 weeks of a LIFELONG transformation. While I was driving to the gym for the 12 week weigh in I was choked up by a handful of memories that happened along the way. I think they’re worth sharing even though the story pales in comparison to the actual event.

Are you eating a tree?
Operation Health_blogheader

We spent the weekend at the lake. We again ate pretty well, but we did indulge in a small lean steak! I went for longer jogs and Renee went for walks, however her hip really flared up and she was in tears by the time she returned to the cabin. I felt pretty bad for her. She has a knee replacement and her main issues appear to be ligaments in her hip. Kind of crazy!

Extreme lifestyle transformations.
Sara2_Operation Health_blogheader

After 5 short weeks I’ve had the pleasure to witness extreme lifestyle transformations with my clients. I remember the first day we met cleaning out the kitchen, facing mass amounts of soda and processed foods. It seemed impossible that two families could throw away the trashy food and eat whole and healthy in one fell swoop.

Vacations won't stop me!
Operation Health_blogheader

It has been three weeks since my last post and it was a great 3 weeks. We were able to go on vacation and visit friends and family, it was lots of fun. The tough part was trying to stay on task without Sara, Don, and all the good food available on vacations.

Dropping the pounds.
Operation Health_blogheader

Well, its been a crazy weekend, did some extra running on Friday while the kids played at the park and then I mowed the lawn, not a whole lot – but my body is feeling pretty sore!! We went to the lake on Friday afternoon, and I brought workout clothes with, intending on working out both Saturday and Sunday. We ate really well on Saturday and Sunday, but the weekend was crazy and I didn’t get any exercise in. Tomorrow, we weigh in and train with Sara, hopefully will see good things on the scale! As an aside, my body is not totally sore anymore!
