Whew! It's the halfway point of my half marathon training. I’m up to 9 miles and have 5 weeks to go until race day when I’ll finally tackle the full 13.1 miles. "Uff da," as they say in Fargo, ND, which happens to be where my race takes place on May 18th.
If there's one thing I’ve learned about myself during my first 5 weeks of training, it’s that I’m up for the challenge. Want to know my secret weapon? A damn good playlist.
It's about time to update your workout playlist. After all, it's a new year and getting back into the workout swing of things, we find that getting some new music really amps up the time spent in the gym. Plus, the right song will get you adding speed to your treadmill.
If you love Marky Mark, Salt-N-Peppa, and The Cars you will be rocking your head side-to-side during your workout. This playlist is perfect for your 45-minute cardio routine. Check out all the awesome throwbacks in this playlist.
It’s now officially spring, and you know (deep down) you need some new workout music. I have created the perfect spotify workout playlist for you to take your sweat sessions to the next level.
If you have been listening to the same playlist for a while now, I think it's time for you to switch it up. You need a music refresh. This is the perfect workout for a morning workout, with a 5 minute warm up to Cake. You will be ready to beat the pavement in no time!
Next time you are at the gym, take a look around. How many people have headphones in? A better question probably is, who isn't listening to music, or watching a movie? Not many, I bet. Most of us need an external force to power our workout. For me, it's music. And it's time for a music refresh!
Whether you are ready or not, summer is coming to a close. And you know what that means, right? It’s time to switch up the music. In fact, I just got a call from your iPod. It’s sad that you haven’t updated it in so long. Luckily, I am a kind soul and I would like to make you and your iPod happy with a new fall workout playlist.
