MN Idea Open Helps Tackle Obesity

Last month, Anytime Fitness partnered with Minnesota Idea Open, a statewide idea contest that asked people how they would use $15,000 to help their community eat smart and be active to tackle the issue of obesity. Over 400 ideas were submitted ranging from low-cost gym memberships and modeling local programs based upon The Biggest Loser, to planting community gardens and supplying fresh produce to food shelves. The ideas were inspiring to read. It’s great to see people thinking about this critical public health issue facing our state and the country. Narrowing down the ideas to just 3 finalists was difficult.
