Guess what? The September Health to-dos are in! These to-dos are full of easy changes that will help you gain perspective on long-term goals you have for your health and well-being. Last month, we challenged you to drink more water, get grillin' and sign up for an obstacle race! Let's see what healthy challenges lie ahead for September...
Daily Walk
Taking a mental break is very important whether you are working at a desk or at home with your kids. We recommend taking at least one 10-minute walk per day to restore your brain to optimal levels. You will see many other benefits from these walks! The benefits include: reduced chance for diabetes and heart disease, reduce medications needed, weight loss, and it helps keep your bones, muscles, and joints healthy!

Get Organized
As fall approaches, it's best to take stock of home, personal, and work goals. In order to really get organized, I find it is easiest to take one thing at a time. September is perfect for this, you can do the following in whatever order you see fit:
Week 1: Organize Home. Whether it's your car, desk, kitchen, closet, or living room, make a list to giveaway, throw, and keep.
Week 2: Organize Work. We have very busy jobs that require efficiency. Find out where you could increase your organization at work with this nifty app!
Week 3: Organize Personal. Use a to-do list to help you focus in on your most important personal goals.
Week 4: Relax. You have succeeded full organization, congrats. It's time to grab an iced tea and read the next book on your list!
Treat yourself
Weight loss is hard enough already. But thinking that you can't have anything you love to eat is just wrong. Think about one treat that you absolutely love. You can still have that treat, with moderation as your guide.
Some treats are okay to even have daily, if they are within your calorie budget. When I was losing weight, I had 4 dark chocolate hershey's kisses every day after lunch. I felt good that I got a little chocolate and wasn't starving myself of things I wanted.
