
The Super Bowl is an excellent time to host friends and family for an afternoon filled with good football, good people, and good food. One of my favorite perks about being a party hostess, is having the ability to create the menu. Typical game-day food is notorious for being unhealthy, which is why, hosting the party gives you the perfect opportunity to create a healthy, delicious menu that even the avid football fan will enjoy. I have pulled together some of my favorite healthy, game day recipes for you and your guests!
Healthy Black Bean Dip
Ingredients

- 1 Can (or ~1.5 cups) black beans, rinsed and drained
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar (for optimal flavor, use aged)
- 1 teaspoon of cumin
Method
1. Pour entire can of black beans into a small sauce pan and turn to medium/high heat. Bring to a boil.
2. Transfer black beans to a small food processor and add balsamic vinegar and cumin. Process for a bout a minute or until the dip becomes smooth.
Serve warm or at room temperature.
