Modifying your life is quite challenging, especially when you want to transform all things at once. These simple lifestyle changes will help you make better lifestyle choices. Take a small step toward better health now.
Take the Stairs
As much as you would prefer to take the elevator, this month try taking stairs everywhere you go. This is just a little thing you can do to help increase your overall physical activity level. But after a month, I bet you will no longer be out of breath going up those steps! If you want to use the stairs to get your workout in, look no further! Slow Down
We live in a crazy world that can be chock full of meetings, dinners, after hours at work, kids soccer practices, and/or preparing meals! Try to "pace" instead of "race." Plan ahead and allow enough time to get the most important things done. Don't fret if you don't get everything on your daily list done.
Relax
- Get a massage
- Give yoga a try
- Get some fresh air with a walk outside
Plan a Vacation
It's winter and most people (at least in my area) are itching for warmer climates. Planning a trip will give you something to look forward to and do wonders for your mental health. If you can't afford to get away, plan a staycation for yourself! Stay at home where you can do anything you want. Watch a movie, paint your nails, or play video games.
Vacation Ideas
- Road trip to friend's house out of state
- Use sites like Livingsocial and Groupon to get a great deal
- Go to the airport and grab a random flight
- Drive to a city you have never been to before
- Have a spa day at home
Print out the to-do list and post it on your fridge or in your cube at work!
