Workout wear is something that is personal to your fitness routine. Some people like to look nice and put together, while others don’t really care what they look like. I am going to speak to the aforementioned. These are some things to think about while selecting your workout wardrobe.
When selecting what you are going to wear while you exercise, think about the colors you will be wearing. Colors affect your mood significantly. If you wear fluorescent pinks, greens, yellows, or blues they will energize and excite you while you workout!
Most people, including myself, need music to energize and “pump you up” during a workout. When you are shopping for workout wear, don’t forget that you are going to want to store your mp3 device somewhere. Look for tops, bottoms, or jackets with pockets; a pocket with a zipper is even better.
Have some fun
When you are picking out what you are going to wear to the gym, pick something that is fun! I like to wear T-shirts with cartoons on them. They make me smile when I see them in the mirror. Wear a T-shirt that reminds you of a concert you went to, or any memory. This will again, help you will enjoy what you are doing!
Wear the right fabrics
Choose clothing made out of fabric that wick, or pull moisture away from the skin. Look for spandex or polyester fabrics or “under amour” clothing. These materials will make you more comfortable while you workout, you won’t get as hot, or drenched of sweat. Look on the tag, it should say whether or not the material wicks moisture or not.
