I was recently discussing a product on the market that claims to have the ability to block the sweating process with an AH member. We both mutually agreed the product had numerous faults, some hefty claims, and our dialogue and attention then centered on a basic question; why would you ever want to disable your body from sweating?

This is a common phrase uttered by expectant parents when responding to the question, “Are you hoping for a boy or girl?”

But what happens after that couple is blessed with a healthy baby? Do we keep that child healthy, or do we begin feeding them a lifelong diet of sugar, processed foods, fat, sodium, fast food, and unbalanced meals?

Don, Colleen, Misty, and Renee just completed the first 12 weeks of a LIFELONG transformation. While I was driving to the gym for the 12 week weigh in I was choked up by a handful of memories that happened along the way. It’s been a busy spring, so you might have missed it, but Atkins Nutritionals, Inc. has come out with a brand new diet book. She has a knee replacement and her main issues appear to be ligaments in her hip. Kind of crazy!

Experts, trainers and nutritionists, have come to the conclusion that incorporating a successful and solid diet, can equate to as much as 70-80% of living a healthy and fit lifestyle. Typically when people realize they have sharply fallen off the straight and narrow path with regards to their health and wellness initiatives, the first thing they do is panic. They panic by signing up at gym, which is good, but then they complicate things but submerging themselves in their workouts with unrealistic expectations, goals, timeframes and routines while completely shelving their diets.

Nearly one out of every three American children is clinically overweight or obese. The health and well‐being of future generations is undeniably at risk. And yet, the fastest‐growing fitness club chain in the world is about to launch a nationwide campaign featuring TV commercials and full‐page ads in USA Today and People magazine which declare, “There is no childhood obesity epidemic.”
